3. The opportunity
Shrimp farming is a $93B industry in Asia-Pacific. Disease losses alone exceed $20 billion annually — White Spot Syndrome causes 100% mortality within 3-10 days, and AHPND kills 70%+ of stocked ponds within the first 35 days. The difference between a profitable cycle and total wipeout is often 24-48 hours of early detection.
Here’s the gap: corporate farms have labs, microscopes, and dedicated water quality technicians. Nobody is doing WhatsApp-native, camera-first, voice-first pond advisory for the farmer who tests water with a $2 kit and feeds shrimp by hand from a raft.
