2. Trend signal — why now?

Egypt’s Ministry of Finance pulled the trigger. Resolution 281 of 2025 dropped the VAT registration threshold from EGP 500K to EGP 250K (≈USD 5K) annual revenue, then ordered every newly-in-scope retailer to register for the e-receipt regime by 31 March 2026. Miss the date and the fines are mechanical: EGP 20,000 flat the day you finally register, plus EGP 1,000 every day in between. 3. The opportunity

ETA wrote a regulation built for ERPs and dropped it on shopkeepers. The 10× isn’t the AI.
