2. Trend signal — why now?
Companies House identity verification went live 18 November 2025 under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023. Twelve-month transition ends 18 November 2026. A statutory deadline funnels 6–7 million people through a verification process that is being run by their accountants, on top of all their existing workload, in tools that were not designed for this job. Practice management software treats verification as another row in a workflow template. AML providers treat each verification as a one-shot transaction.
