3. The opportunity
Detention is money the carrier already earned and can’t collect because they can’t prove it in the format the broker will accept. The proof exists — it’s sitting in the ELD as geofenced gate-in/gate-out timestamps and dwell duration — but nobody auto-assembles it into a broker-ready, contractually-grounded claim packet and then files and chases it.
The incumbents miss this from both sides:

A focused AI-first team can be the one tool whose entire job is: detect the detention event → read the contract terms → assemble the court-grade packet → file it → chase it → book the recovery.
