The unpaid second shift is now quantified. 3. The opportunity
The arborist software market is owned by ArborNote ($149–399/mo) and SingleOps ($220/mo). Both are business software: scheduling, tree inventory, estimating, invoicing, CRM, crew work orders (SingleOps; ArborNote pricing). None of them write the report. The consulting arborist still goes home, opens a Word template or the ISA fillable PDF, and spends 1–3 hours per tree turning scribbled field notes and a phone full of photos into a defensible narrative with a risk rating.
That gap is the whole product. TRAQScribe is not a CRM and does not compete on scheduling. It does one thing the $39B incumbents don’t: the arborist walks the tree talking out loud — species, defects, targets, load, likelihood, consequence — snaps photos as they go, and TRAQScribe returns a completed ISA Basic Tree Risk Assessment Form plus the prose report with captioned photos and a defensible risk matrix, formatted to the arborist’s letterhead, before they drive away. 10× isn’t a stretch here because the incumbents aren’t even playing in this lane — they decided report-writing was the customer’s problem.

The load-bearing work: (1) speech-to-text robust to outdoor noise, chainsaws, wind, and arboriculture jargon; (2) extraction of a fixed but nuanced schema (ISA TRA form) from unstructured field speech, mapping spoken observations to the correct likelihood/consequence cells; (3) generation of defensible, liability-aware prose that a court-credible expert would put their name on. The schema is fixed and the domain vocabulary is bounded, which makes the extraction tractable today — that’s the feasibility unlock. The “human signs off on every field” design keeps the AI from being a liability instead of an asset.
7. Localization angle
N/A — this is a US-first play. The wedge is the ISA-standard TRA form and US TRAQ requalification timing specifically.
