The work is still done by hand. 3. The opportunity
The tour-operator software market is mature at the top and empty at the bottom. Tourplan is “an ERP system built for group tour logistics, inventory control, and traditional accounting.” Tourwriter sells to “luxury operators.” Rezometry is multi-day tour management with flat pricing but still a full platform you onboard onto. They all assume an operator big enough to migrate their whole business onto a system.
The small SEA inbound operator — 2 to 15 staff, in Bali, Hanoi, Chiang Mai — will not do that. They’ve tried. Capterra reviews of the category are full of it: Peek Pro is “very complicated to set up and even more complicated for the tour or rental operator to use”; one operator said they “cannot afford the hours Peek is costing them.” So they stay on Excel and WhatsApp, and they bleed hours and margin.
