3. The opportunity
The quoting-software market exists — Paperless Parts ($500+/mo, ITAR, built for US aerospace/defense shops), DigiFabster, Colab. Every one of them is US-priced, English-only, and built as a heavyweight estimating/CPQ engine for an established shop with an estimator who already speaks English. They solve “make my estimator faster.” They do nothing for the Mexican shop owner whose problem starts one step earlier: I just got an English RFQ email and I can’t confidently read it, let alone reply like a US vendor by end of day.

6. AI angle — what’s load-bearing
Remove the AI and there is no product. The core is multimodal comprehension (read a spec PDF + a drawing + a sloppy English email and extract structured requirements) plus bilingual generation (produce a US-vendor-grade English reply from a Spanish-thinking owner’s intent). A generic translator gives you literal Spanish — it doesn’t know a quote-reply needs lead time, MOQ, and the three questions a buyer expects. The AI is doing the work a bilingual sales engineer would do, which is exactly the role these shops can’t afford to staff.
7. Localization angle
This is the localization play — it’s the whole moat against the US incumbents. Spanish-first UX, peso pricing (an MX$899–2,499/mo tier where $500/mo USD can’t land), WhatsApp-first delivery, and templates tuned to how US buyers judge Mexican suppliers (certs up front, lead-time honesty).
