Three things converged in the last 12 months.

First, India’s customs stack went from human-tolerant to machine-strict. As of 2026, ICEGATE auto-verifies data across the commercial invoice, packing list, shipping bill and GSTR-1. A product description that reads “cotton knitted t-shirt” on the invoice and “knitted cotton tee” on the packing list now trips an automatic data error and stalls the Let Export Order. Multiple 2026 trade guides independently state the same thing: discrepancies between documents — not missing documents — are now the #1 cause of customs delays.

Second, the population that suffers this exploded. MSME exporters grew from 52,849 (2020-21) to 173,350 (2024-25); 125,000+ Indian MSMEs are on Amazon Global Selling. MSME exports went ₹3.95L cr → ₹12.39L cr in four years. A huge cohort of small, first-time-ish exporters is filing documents they don’t fully understand into a system that no longer forgives.

The pain is a cross-document consistency check that happens before filing — and nobody sells that as a focused, cheap product to the person who feels the pain.

Existing software is in the wrong shape and the wrong hands:

  • Freight-forwarder / CHA ERPs (CargoNet, FreightBro, Logistaas): built for the intermediary, licensed per-seat at lakhs/year, operationally heavy. The exporter never touches it; the CHA does — and the CHA catches the mismatch after the exporter has handed over wrong docs, when fixing it is expensive.
  • All-in-one export platforms (Pazago): documentation + tracking + insurance + forex + inspections. Broad, mid-market, not a fast pre-filing tie-out the exporter runs themselves in two minutes before emailing the CHA.
  • Payment/FIRA tools (Skydo, Credlix): adjacent — they touch invoices for getting paid, not for getting cleared.

The 10× wedge: a dead-simple tool the exporter uses the moment before they hand documents to the CHA. Upload draft invoice + packing list, paste/upload the shipping-bill checklist and pull GSTR-1 line items, get a field-by-field diff with exact mismatches highlighted, and a clean corrected set out. This is India-first by nature, not by retrofit. ICEGATE/GSTR-1 are India-specific systems; the failure mode (auto-verification across exactly these four documents) is an India-2026 artefact. Pricing must be ₹ (a ₹999/mo tier works where a $49 global tool can’t, and there is no global tool that knows ICEGATE rules).
