3. The opportunity
Every small dental lab loses money to remakes it didn’t cause. The lab receives a scan with a margin void or an Rx missing the shade, notices the problem, and faces a lose-lose: reject the case (delay the crown, annoy a loyal dentist) or proceed and hope. When the crown comes back for a remake weeks later, the lab and the dentist argue about whose fault it was. The lab almost always loses that argument — because it has no clean, timestamped, dentist-visible record that it flagged the defect before fabrication.
