2. Trend signal — why now?

Brazil has 5.5–5.9M domestic workers (PNAD Contínua, Q4 2024), but only ~24% are formalized with a signed carteira. The other three-quarters are a formalization pipeline the government keeps pushing on. Every formal employer — roughly 1.3M households today — is personally on the hook for a monthly eSocial filing: generate the DAE guia (INSS patronal 8%, FGTS 8% + 3.2% compensatório, 0.8% acidente, employee INSS, IRRF), pay it by the 7th, and register every vacation, 13º, raise, and termination on the gov.br portal themselves.

3. The opportunity

The pain isn’t arithmetic — the portal already does the math. The pain is knowledge + memory + timing for a person who is not an HR professional and never wanted to be one. You hired a nanny; now you’re running a one-person payroll department with criminal-adjacent fine exposure.

Incumbents fail two ways:

  • Human-service shops (SOS et al.) solve it but with annual contracts, ~R$50/mo, and a service model that resists cancellation — the Reclame Aqui pile is full of “charged me after I let my maid go” and “won’t refund the prepaid year.” They’re a contador in a trench coat: opaque, slow, lock-in.
